Warren Gatland has named his British & Irish Lions squad for the must-win second Test against the All Blacks with three changes to the side swept aside in the first Test last weekend.

Tour captain, Sam Warburton, will start the second Test at the Westpac Stadium in Wellington, replacing Peter O'Mahoney at blindside flanker. Elsewhere in the pack, Maro Itoje will replace England colleague, George Kruis in the second row. Both Kruis and Alun Wyn Jones were relatively ineffective in the first Test and were both under pressure from Itoje and Courtney Lawes who impressed in midweek.

Arguably the biggest call from Gatland is in the back. Ben Te'o has been one of the Lions' best players on tour but Gatland has opted to move Farrell into the centre to accommodate Irish fly-half, Johnny Sexton. The change is a bold one but Irish half-backs Sexton and scrum half, Conor Murray have proved time and time again to be a potent partnership for Ireland.

Former Wales international, Jonathan Davies, claims the changes are the "last roll of the dice" for Gatland.

Davies said, "It is the last roll of the dice. You have to be a bit creative to beat the All Blacks because they will always score points. The first Test selection was a bit odd for me, picking a very attacking back three and not the most creative midfield. It is the 10-12 combination that I would have liked right from the start, but they have not really had the chance to play together in the warm-up matches. It is a worry that the have not played together more. I'm surprised. If this had been Gatland's ploy from the start of the tour I would have played them a bit more before the Tests."

Davies added, "He made a big call in the third Test against Australia four years ago - dropping Brian O'Driscoll, That had a positive outcome, but if he loses on Saturday, he will get stick."
